Why File for Chapter 7?
If you qualify under Chapter 7, you will get the chance to wipe away some of your unsecured debt. Generally, this includes credit card debt and medical bills. Chapter 7 also stops the bank from proceeding with foreclosures and garnishing your income, as long as you make payments on schedule according to your bankruptcy plan.
Generally, student loans, alimony and child support can not be discharged, but I will work with you to see if your individual circumstance warrants it. I will work closely with you to explain any other restrictions in an effort to make this as seamless as possible.
