D. Bruce Orwin is an attorney in private practice in Somerset, where he focuses on real estate law, estate planning, probate, municipal law, and commercial law. Mr. Orwin has B.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the Kentucky and American bar associations. Mr. Orwin is an owner of Southern Title, LLC in Somerset, and represents the United States in acquisitions for the Daniel Boone National Forest. Mr. Orwin is a winner of the Poundstone Award for volunteer service to the Kentucky Nature Conservancy for his pro bono representation in land acquisitions by the Nature Conservancy. He is the former chair of the House of Delegates of the Kentucky Bar Association and was the winner of the 2003 First Amendment Award by the Society of Professional Journalists.
